Depth map — Local AI Studio
Estimates the distance of every pixel from a single photo and returns a grayscale map: the brighter, the closer. Used for parallax effects and selective blur. Base model: Depth Anything V2 Small, by TikTok / Universidad de Hong Kong (Apache-2.0).

- Are my files uploaded anywhere?
- No. There is no server in between: everything is processed on your device.
- Why is the first run slow?
- Because the model is downloaded, tens to hundreds of MB. After that it is cached and starts instantly.
